1.What is your name?

Rebecca Muir (aka Beccy)

2.Where do you live (region or suburb)?

I have lived in Logan Village for the past ten years. It's a wonderful, rural residential area about forty minutes south of Brisbane. Out here we have plenty of space for the kids to run around and to keep a few pets.

3.What is your family composition (e.g. Married with kids, single, etc.)?

I am married with three gorgeous kids, Madison (8), Kenzie (6) and Lachlan (3). My husband, Jeff, is originally from the U.S. where his family still live, and where we get to visit from time to time.

4.When did you get into scrapbooking?

I started scrapbooking in 1999. Although my first attempts were not quite what you would call "scrapbooking". I am currently in the process of re-doing the early albums as they are the sticky type that aren't good for photos.

5.Why did you start scrapbooking?

Like many other women, I started scrapping after having my first child. It's wonderful to be able to record written memories along with the photos, and having all the wonderful embellishments and beautiful papers and interesting techniques meant that I could also satisfy my love for craftwork at the same time.

6.What is your favourite line of patterned paper?

I love Basic Grey papers. I find the patterns, colours and tones really appealing. Plus the weight and quality of the paper is of a consistently high standard.

7.What is your favourite scrapping tool?

My cricut machine. I love being able to cut out fonts and shapes for my pages. Before the cricut I did everything by hand, or purchased letters for my layouts.

8.What is your favourite embellishment?

I love Prima Flowers as embellishments on pages. I've recently discovered some leaves too, which was very exciting!

9.Share a great scrapbooking tip.

If you want to highlight a particular object in your photos, choose a background or matting paper that is the same colour. It will make the item stand out.

10.What advice would you give to new scrapbookers?

Don't skimp on the journaling. Even though it is sometimes hard to know what to write, it is really worth making the effort. Complete the journaling as though you are telling someone about the photo, keep it simple, but remember the detail.

11.Aside from scrapbooking, what other hobbies and interests do you have?

I love crafts of just about every description, from painting to embroidering, I have given most things a go. I also love a good book and read every night before I go to bed.

12.What is your favourite quote?

"It is not length of life, but depth of life." - Emerson

Where do you live (region or suburb)?

Esperance WA

What is your family composition (e.g. Married with kids, single, etc.)?

I have been married to Danny for 14 years now. I have 3 boys.... Nicholas 11, Kristofer 7 and Jonathan 6

When did you get into scrapbooking?

I got into scrapbooking about 3 and a half years ago.

Why did you start scrapbooking?

I was invited to a CM party and I was hooked straight away. I found it was a fantastic way of sharing the stories that went with all the photos I had. The stories that my children have from their childhood that they will then be able to share with their children.

What is your favourite line of patterned paper?

I have so many... I love Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Crate Paper, Scenic Route...

What is your favourite scrapping tool?

This would have to be my sanding block. I love to distress everything that I put on a page from just a little touch to wholesale sanding. But then I'm also loving my new KNK Elements too!

What is your favourite embellishment?

This would be chipboard and ribbon... they are both so versatile that you will nearly always find them on my layouts.

Share a great scrapbooking tip.

Sanding the edges of photos and pattern papers softens the edges and blends them together, giving a worn look that looks like it is meant to be. It takes away the harsh sharp edges and softens them. Inking can do the same thing

What advice would you give to new scrapbookers?

There are no rules. Whatever you do is right. Never ever lose sight of why you started scrapbooking in the first place.

Aside from scrapbooking, what other hobbies and interests do you have?

I love taking photographs and gardening

What is your favourite quote?

In every day there is a magic moment.
